Becoming an Army Cadet...

It offers a range of benefits, primarily including participation in engaging and challenging activities such as fieldcraft, adventurous training, first aid, leadership tasks, sports, and marksmanship, among others.

As a cadet, you will have the opportunity to form new friendships and attend summer training camps where you will meet cadets from other corps in Canada. There is even the potential for expeditions to remarkable locations, both within Canada and occasionally overseas.

The Army Cadet Training Program will effectively teach you leadership skills, discipline, and foster a newfound self-confidence. Additionally, you will develop a wide array of transferable skills such as task command, decision-making, planning and organization, effective teamwork, and independence. These skills will prove invaluable throughout your life and provide a significant advantage when pursuing employment or post-secondary education opportunities.

Furthermore, through cadet training, you have the potential to acquire valuable qualifications, such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award or various first-aid certifications.
