Spring Field Training Exercise (FTX) - Scout Camp Sylvan (Frontier Land)

The members of #11 RCACC will be engaging in a navigation & trekking training exercise. Participants will commence their training at the training site located Scout Camp Sylvan - site Frontier Land at 6:30 pm on Friday, April 5th, 2024. The training is expected to conclude at 11:00 am on Sunday, April 7th, 2024.

Cadets are required to arrive (Parental Drop off) at 1830 hours (6:30 pm) with their OHIP health card, signed permission form and personal kit.

The cadets will have the opportunity to engage in a Trekking Exercise, which will encompass hiking, camping procedures, maintaining hygiene in outdoor settings, practicing orienteering, map reading, and compass skills, among other activities.

It is crucial that all cadets return this form at the designated drop-off location, in addition to bringing their OHIP Health Card.

Packing List and equipment will be distributed and issued to Cadets on Tuesday, March 26th Training Night as Cadets learn how to pack a Ruck-sack, and prepare for the field training exercise.
