Our Vision
The vision of the Royal Canadian Army Cadets is to develop youth into good citizens and future leaders, while also promoting physical fitness and fostering an interest in the Canadian Forces. This is achieved through a program that emphasizes leadership, citizenship, and physical activity, while also providing a safe and supportive environment for youth aged 12-18
Our Values
In pursuit of our vision, we also uphold shared Canadian and military values, placing special emphasis on:
- Loyalty, which signifies our collective commitment to the ideals of the Cadet Movement and to all its members.
- Professionalism, which entails carrying out all tasks with pride and diligence.

Building blocks of our Vision
- Develop good citizenship and leadership: Cadets are encouraged to become active and engaged members of their communities and develop leadership skills that will prepare them for future roles.
- Promote physical fitness: The program offers opportunities for physical activity and outdoor adventures, helping cadets develop a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness.
- Stimulate interest in the Canadian Forces: The program provides a glimpse into activities of the land component of the Canadian Forces, potentially inspiring future recruits.
- Provide a safe and supportive environment: The Cadet Program strives to be a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where all cadets feel respected, valued, and able to reach their full potential.
- Focus on positive youth development: The program aims to contribute to the overall development and preparation of youth for adulthood, enabling them to meet the challenges of modern society.
